Berlin, Berlin … I LOVE BERLIN …

Just came back from this amazing city and during I was there,
I was thinking to collect so many info to share with you.

Berlin has many things to do and so many places to go…
I decided to start with the places for Food&Drinks!

*RON TELESKY (Canadian Pizza)
Diffenbachstr.62, Kreuzberg
www.myspace.com/rontelesky

this is a canadian style decorated cellar, with a big elk on the wall,
where I had a tasty slice of tomato-basilica pizza topped with arugula salad..yummy!

*Taverna Amphipolis (greek food)
Wilhelmshavenerstr.6, U-bahn Turmstrasse

this is the restaurant of my beloved aunt&cousins in Berlin Mitte.
Because I’m sick of greek food, I ate a german Schnitzel with potatoes & tasty sauce with mushrooms.
Nevertheless the mood was really greek, we had about 2 bottles of Ouzo and at the end Mike went into the kitchen to do some pancakes.
A funny night!

*Restaurant&Cocktailbar MIRCHI
Oranienburgerstr.50
Oranienstr.204, Kreuzberg
www.mirchi.de

this is a big, no …a huge asian, indian restaurant, decorated like you are in the middle East !
we sat to drink a cocktail, but we didn’t ordered! We heard some live music on the opposite and preferred to go and take a look!
so  the only info we have about this restaurant, are the amazing bathrooms ( informed by Jordan)!

*KaDeWe
Feinschmeckeretage (6th floor)
Tauentzienstr.21-24
www.kadewe.de

The Kaufhaus des Westens (English “Department Store of the West”, usually abbreviated to KaDeWe) is the second largest department store in Europe
trumped only by Harrods in London!
At 6th floor is the gourmet floor, where you can seat and taste and drink whatever you love!
We had an amazing wine at a wine bar with a cheese plate (so many different cheese, OMG)!
Οn this floor you can find whatever you wish to eat&drink…gourmetparadise…
The most impression for me was a bottle of brandy that cost 17.500Euro.
Who needs this?

*Cafe “…an einem Sonntag im August…”
Kastanienallee 103, Prenzlauer Berg
U-bahn Ebenswalderstrassse
www.an-einem-sonntag-im-august.de

The name means “..on a  Sunday in August..”
Katanienallee is a street which will be on my mind for years! So many small, cozy cafes ….
It was a Sunday when we sat in this cafe to take our breakfast…breakfast buffet: 2.95 p.P
all you can eat,..eggs, marmalade, cornflakes … like home!
The waitress was like you put her out of a cartoon,
tattoos, funky haircut and with the unique friendly and charming style of the Berliners!

*Cafe Zappata
Oranienburgerstr.54, U6 Oranienburger Tor
S1+2 Oranienburgerstr, Tram M1, M6+12
www.cafe-zappata.de

This is Club*Cafe*Bar exactly on the ground floor of tacheles
we had beers on our last night there!
after 22.00 the party begins !!!

*HOT DOG BERLIN
Oranienburgerstrasse & Friedrichstrasse

After the party at Zappata take a hot dog on the opposite corner!
This is a NEW opened Hot Dog place,..
the hot dog is amazing … I tried the Danish style & Chicago style!

*Currywurst @ Alexanderplatz

I love Berlin & I love Currywurst!!! This is a MUST when you are in Berlin!
We were lucky, because we could eat the Currywurst with beer outside(+sun)
next to Alex Oase @ Alexanderplatz!
