By traveling through europe Robert Basik focuses his research on capitals and big cities like Paris, Rome, Barcelona…analyzing the architectural structures of the city as well as the suburban structures which are filled with objects like cars, street lamps, metro stations, signs, stores …symbols and metaphors which stand for the “ development “ of a culture or better for the state of mind of a society.
But the most important aspect of his works are the human beings in between these structures.

Street photography is a well known discipline in this field of fashion photography which is getting more and more famous because of the usage of this aesthetic by advertisement agencies allover the world trying to find new faces, expressions, life styles in the urban culture.

Somewhere…in between these urban and suburban structures of concrete, metal,light, colors, objects, cars are all these interesting people which we would never see if there were no photographers like R.Basik focusing these faces.
It is important to know that Robert Basik is an architect influenced by product- and industrial design as well as graphic design .
This fact changes the point of view and of course the whole aesthetic of his works.

In collaboration with the office SCENARIO LAB by the architect and scenographer Georgios Zisopoulos, Robert Basik will follow the scouted locations in the city center of Thessaloniki so that a photo shooting will take place there as a result of the pre casted faces which were discovered during the free photo session which is organized on the roof top of Pimp My Style.
